ISLAND BASELINE DATA

A series of genetic and specimen based efforts are put forward to gather evidence on species presence and distribution on these islands. From visiting lava tunnels (caves) to sequencing water and soil, this work will help understand what species are where.​

GALAPAGENOMES

This interdisciplinary initiative aims to sequence and assemble whole genomes of Galapagos species and use them in population genomic and phylogenetic studies. This work is funded by the National Science Foundation at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and the California Academy of Sciences (CAS). ​
